Today’s a big day for me. Fucking huge actually! I finished Pieces almost two years ago, maybe more even. Then life happened, and I had to redirect my energy towards dealing with the meanderings of existence, losing sight of music for a while. But you can’t escape the things that truly make you feel good forever, you eventually cycle back. Finally being able to share this project with you means the world to me. It’s the culmination of all the things I learned in the last three years, the struggles I faced, and the ensuing growth I experienced. I fucking did it, and I’m finally here standing on my own two feet again. That’s what sharing this project with you, my very first official project, means to me. And I’m so fucking proud and grateful.

Gotta give a major shout out to my brother, trusted sound engineer, and partner in creativity, @minho.no.sekai, whose support was life saving throughout this journey. We did it bro. Also gotta give it up for @mowley, @naornacho, and Hunna B who provided exquisite sound waves I had the joy of rapping over. Big shout out to Thomas Herrent for the pristine music video he made for Two Jobs. Gotta give praise to Kumi too, who did amazing work for the EP cover and whose photography is on point. All my gratitude also goes to @xavierdemaere for mastering the project and whose skill really made the music shine. And last but not least, I wanna express my infinite gratitude to my partner @hiromi, my number one fan, whose relentless support helped me see the value in my music when my self-confidence was at negative infinity.

A little extra victory is that I made my own video for Katsu, with little to no experience. I learned so much throughout the process, and though it’s not perfect, I’m really proud of the result for a first try. Learning something new and realising you’re actually capable of more than you thought feels so good man.

Anyway, go stream the shit out of Pieces, and give the music video for Katsu some love. I’ll be forever indebted to you if you do. I’m so grateful to all the people who have supported my music making over the years. This one is for you. And hopefully, this is only the beginning.
